TSM series of commercial Reverse Osmosis water purifiers built
to suit the needs and requirements of commercial pure water users.
This includes restaurants, coffee stores, convenience stores,
micro breweries, supermarket produce and food preparation operations,
misting and humidification systems, car wash facilities, and
many other businesses that must have consistent high quality
water for their daily operations. The key factors of reliability,
servicability, and consistent performance with minimum user intervention
are achieved in the solid design of the TSM systems. Stainless
steel is used throughout; in frame, pressure vessels and fastening
hardware to provide the structural strength and corrosion resistance
appropriate for a commercial appliance.
The TSM system design is optimized for either shelf mount
or wall mount installation. The four models; 400 GPD,
800 GPD, 1200 GPD and 1500 GPD all occupy the same very compact
footprint. This allows flexibility in accomodating the limited
space available in most commercial utility equipment locations.
Quick connect tube fittings on all system ports further simplifies
installation and service. Most important, all TSM models incorporate
the most reliable combination of proven reverse osmosis hydraulic
design and state of the art Thin Film membrane elements to provide
the long term performance expected by commercial users.

RDWS-TV-RO-SKID
Packaged Skid Mount Reverse Osmosis is pre-plumbed and pre-wired
in most cases with one inlet connection, one drain connection,
one water use connection, and one electrical connection to allow
for fast hassle free installation. From the delivery of the equipment
to your facility to the set up and use of water - In hours not
days!
How It Works: User Friendly ! Everything within the
skid is pre-plumbed and wired. There is a single point power
inlet connection and the customer has to simply connect to the
storage tank and then to his usage. Once our Integrated
Skid Mount RO is installed and feed water is made available,
the Storage Tank will begin to fill with product water. The product
water will continue to fill the Storage Tank until the tank float
switch closes and shuts the entire system off. At the same time,
while the tank is filling, concentrate water will begin to flow
into the drain system. The concentrate water will continue to
flow to the drain system until the tank float switch closes and
shuts the entire system off when the storage tank is full. When
there is a demand for water, the skid mount Repressurization
System is activated and draws product water from the Storage
Tank. The product (RO) water is then delivered with the on skid
re-pressure system to your usage point. If enough product water
is used to the point where the float switch is reopened, the
Skid Mount RO System is automatically reactivated and begins
to replace the product water that has been depleted.

10ppm, Water hardness below 250gpg, pH 6.5 -8.5, No iron bacteria. Calculations of

of 60 Deg. F. Lower temperatures may result in slightly lower
production levels.

- In many past projects, we have
had the responsibility of integrating multiple water treatment
and process functions with RO membrane purification on an integrated
skid system. Such integrated processes have included bulk media
prefiltration, ozonation, UV, antiscalant injection, post pH
correction injection as well as specific customer components.
These specialized integrated systems come on a unitized skid
frame with central water and power connections.

- Controlling
Sulfate Scaling In RO Systems
-
- Controlling sulfate scaling
in reverse osmosis membranes is critical to the longevity of
the membrane elements and successful operation of the RO system.
Historically, membrane elements with barium sulfate, strontium
sulfate or calcium sulfate were unable to be cleaned requiring
costly membrane replacement. In recent years, great strides have
been made both in controlling and cleaning sulfate scaling.
- Controlling sulfate scales is
more difficult than controlling calcium carbonate scaling. Simple
pH adjustment through the addition of acid into the feed water
to the RO was fairly successful at controlling calcium carbonate
scale. The primary acid used for pH adjustment is sulfuric acid,
which increases the level of sulfates in the feed water, which
in turn increases the scaling potential for sulfate scales. Increased
recovery requirements for RO systems intensified the scaling
potential even more. It became evident that successful operation
of RO systems at higher recoveries would require chemicals designed
to inhibit various types of scaling and fouling. With proper
dosing, a well-engineered scale inhibitor can successfully control
scaling and fouling.
- Once that it had precipitated
out of solution, sulfate scale was impossible to clean out of
the membrane. High pH cleanings had no affect and low pH cleanings
were equally unsuccessful. The fact that the sulfate scale would
not dissolve or go back into solution, made cleaning the membranes
a fruitless task. Membrane replacement was inevitable. In recent
years, new membrane cleaning formulations have been developed
that combine organic acids with specific dispersants which has
the ability to soften the sulfate scale enough to allow the flow
of the cleaning solution to remove the scale as a semi-solid
material which will trap in the cleaning skid filters.
- For the greatest success in
controlling sulfate scaling in an RO system, it is necessary
to implement the use of a quality scale inhibitor, formulated
for reverse osmosis systems and engineered for control of high
levels of sulfate scales. Additionally, a new generation membrane
cleaner with the ability to remove sulfate scale should be used
for the low pH cleanings. It is always advisable to follow a
low pH cleaning with a high pH cleaning using a cleaner formulated
for use in RO systems.
